Meet The Team

PETER RENN
Peter has been a paranormal researcher for over 26 years and is co-founder of the Canadian Paranormal Society, launched in 2020. Born and raised in London, England, Peter had a personal experience at a young age which has since led him to researching the paranormal. At the age of 23, Peter left England and took his craft of investigating with him while he lived in other parts of the world, in particular, Australia and New Zealand.

For over 15 years, Peter has specialized in paranormal cases of a negative nature and is a documenting investigator for an ordained Exorcist in Washington state, USA.

In 2020, Peter and colleague Jason Hewlett co-authored the bestselling book, “I Want to Believe: One Man’s Journey into the Paranormal” which highlights Peter’s career as a paranormal investigator. Peter is the producer of the award-winning Paranormal Network’s reality series, “We Want to Believe” and has co-authored three books on the subject of the paranormal.

JASON HEWLETT
Jason Hewlett is a journalist, broadcaster and podcaster with a degree in filmmaking and film studies. A lifelong interest in the paranormal led him to join the Vancouver Paranormal Society (VPS) in 2017 in which he became a lead investigator and society director.

In 2020, Jason and VPS colleague Peter Renn launched the Canadian Paranormal Society and co-authored the bestselling book, “I Want to Believe: One Man’s Journey into the Paranormal” which highlights Peter’s career as a paranormal investigator. Jason is also the writer, director and co-creator of the award-winning Paranormal Network’s reality series, “We Want to Believe” and has co-authored two more books on the subject of the paranormal.
